Former Barcelona star Neymar Jr. this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of a member of the attacking ranks at Real Madrid.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Frontman Rodrygo is of course fresh off his latest starring display in the colours of Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Afforded a starting berth in Los Blancos’ Champions League playoff 2nd leg showdown with Manchester City, the Brazilian dazzled across the 90 minutes.
Making use of his elite dribbling abilities and flawless touch, Rodrygo was a thorn in City’s side throughout, continuing to prove himself something of an unsung hero in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
One individual, though, who is evidently fully appreciative of the stellar stretch of form in which the 24-year-old finds himself at present is fellow countryman Neymar.
Taking to his official Instagram account this week, the Santos star – a long-time idol of Rodrygo’s – unveiled a photo of the Real Madrid man, accompanied by the caption:
“How this kid plays is a joke!”
