New suitor emerges for Barcelona midfielder

A new suitor have positioned themselves firmly in the race for the signature of Barcelona star Marc Casadó. That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Bayer Leverkusen as the outfit in question.

Midfielder Casadó has of course been linked with a departure from the Spotify Camp Nou throughout the summer to date. No longer part of the plans of Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has been made available for an immediate transfer.

A number of clubs from across Europe and beyond, in turn, have made known their interest in a deal for Casadó. And as alluded to above, this weekend, a fresh name have thrown their hat in the ring for the engine room talent.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘The FC Barcelona midfielder is one of the players who could leave the club in this final stretch of the transfer window, and in recent hours, Bayer Leverkusen have entered the race for the player.’

It is added that the BayArena ‘appeals’ to Casadó as a potential landing spot, with the Spaniard eager to continue plying his trade in one of European football’s leading divisions.

Turkish heavyweights Beşiktaş, meanwhile, are also keeping a close eye on the situation.
