An impending addition to the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid could yet play his part for the club at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player in question.
Defender Alexander-Arnold is of course widely expected to be unveiled as the latest high-profile Real Madrid signing over the weeks ahead.
Having come to the decision not to renew his expiring Liverpool contract, the Englishman has set his sights on joining fellow countryman and close friend Jude Bellingham in Spain’s capital.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Blancos faithful may not have to wait all that long to see their latest signing in action in the club’s colours.
As per a report from Marca, in fact, Alexander-Arnold could well play his part at the upcoming Club World Cup.
Though the 26-year-old’s Liverpool contract does not technically expire until June 30th, Real Madrid could request special permission from their counterparts at Anfield for TAA to take to the pitch for his new side early.
Alexander-Arnold would then officially become a Blancos player on July 1st.
