A headline member of the attacking ranks at Serie A giants Napoli has set his sights firmly on a move to Spain, with Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport, who point towards Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as being ready to push for a dream Barca switch.
Wide-man Kvaratskhelia, for his part, will soon sit down for negotiations over the renewal of his Napoli contract.
During such talks, however, the Georgian’s representative will put on the table the possibility of a summer exit.
Though Kvaratskhelia does not appear to have completely closed the door on staying put at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, he is keen on a new challenge starting next season.
With the aforementioned Barcelona known to be on the lookout for a new left winger, ‘Kvara’ and his entourage are in turn eager to manoeuvre a link-up with Xavi’s side.
Though the Blaugrana have been tipped as a potential landing spot for the 23-year-old in the past, it remains to be seen whether they would be willing or able to cough up the kind of sum likely to be demanded by the Napoli brass for their talismanic wide-man.
Kvaratskhelia, across the season to date, has notched ten goals and eight assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.
