In an interview with Muchodeporte, Sevilla sporting director Monchi spoke about manager Julen Lopetegui.
“The only assessment I would make of Lopetegui is how many more years he is going to be with us. The more the better. The years that we are able to convince Julen are going to be years of glory and joy. That’s the only assessment I can make about Julen’s continuity, and I hope he stays for a long time.”
“The other day, when we won the derby, I heard the crowd chanting ‘Lopetegui, Lopetegui’. There aren’t so many coaches who have had their name chanted and that’s for a reason. I think Sevilla fans are happy, but I understand that there are people who might disagree.”
