Miralem Pjanic will return to FC Barcelona

Miralem Pjanic returned to action for Besiktas on Saturday after almost two months on the sidelines through injury.

Besiktas won 4-1 against Alanyaspor, and Pjanic played 15 minutes. He came on in the second half, however, his future in Turkey is coming to an end, according to a report in AS.

The Bosnian midfielder’s situation has changed since the beginning of the season, when Besiktas were making plans to keep him.

Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci is clear about the future of the Barcelona loanee. “Pjanic has been on loan with us since the start of the season. However, we will not continue with him next season. We will start with only players who are suitable for the coach’s system,” Kazanci said.

Barcelona are not counting on Pjanic for next season, despite the fact that he has a contract for two more years at Camp Nou. The La Liga club want to sell the midfielder.

According to reports in Italy, some Serie A clubs are interested in signing him, but there are no concrete offers for the Bosnian as things stand.
