Memphis Depay has confirmed his decision to stay at FC Barcelona.
Depay was previously linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus.
The Dutch forward took to Twitter late on Thursday to explain his decision to stay at Camp Nou.
“I have decided to stay at Barça!
Fully committed to contribute to the club’s sporting success. 💙❤️ #ViscaBarca”
The 28-year-old forward, who joined the club from Lyon in 2021, has a contract with the Blaugrana until June 2023.
With Barcelona losing strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Martin Braithwaite on Thursday, Depay will play a more important role under Xavi Hernández.
Aubameyang is on the verge of joining Chelsea, while Braithwaite has put pen to paper on a 3-year deal with Espanyol.
Regarding incomings for Barca, Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso and right-back Héctor Bellerín, are both about to complete moves to Camp Nou and are expected to be the last names through the door for Xavi.
