Mauro Icardi offered to Sevilla

Sevilla have been offered Mauro Icardi, according to Estadio Deportivo via a report on SER’s Libredirecto programme.

Monchi, the sporting director of Sevilla, came up against the demands of PSG in his attempt to sign Thilo Kehrer and, in the end, opted for another of his options, French centre-back Tanguy Nianzou.

Argentine striker Icardi has been offered to the Spanish club in the last few days. The player, who has been linked with many clubs this summer, was on the radar of Manchester United as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, and newly-promoted Serie A side Monza.

Icardi’s biggest problem is not so much what PSG are asking for his transfer – which has not been revealed – but the €10 million net that he earns per season, which is unaffordable for most clubs.

He still has two years left on his contract with PSG. New PSG manager Christophe Galtier has made it clear to him that he does not count on him and that he must look for a new club.
