Real Sociedad have confirmed in an official club statement that Real Madrid loanee Martin Ødegaard has tendonitis in his right knee.
The Norwegian has travelled to Barcelona for treatment. Ødegaard was exceptional for the Basque club before the break for COVID-19, however since the return to La Liga action he has looked off the pace and failed to come off the bench in Sociedad’s 2-1 defeat to Getafe on Monday night.
It is still unknown if he will return to competitive action in time for the end of the league season.
