Marcelino could say goodbye to San Mamés when Athletic Club take on Osasuna this evening.
“I’m a person who comes and goes. There is a possibility that I won’t continue. The main thing is Athletic. The most important thing is the players, I would like to end the season with a victory at San Mamés,” he said in quotes reported by Mundo Deportivo.
The Asturian coach met this week with Iñaki Arechabaleta, one of the candidates for the presidency at the Basque club.
“I am surprised by the news that I am not a possibility as a future coach and as it has not been denied. I have to think about it, it causes me great surprise because we met this week and he could have told me directly. In that conversation, he never told me that he had taken that decision.”
