Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly on Real Betis’ wanted list to replace under-fire head coach Rubi, according to The Athletic. Betis have gone seven games without a win in all competitions and currently sit in 14th place in La Liga with pressure building around the club. Former Real Madrid boss Pellegrini is out of work having left West Ham United in December and has a wealth of La Liga experience, previously working at Villarreal and Malaga CF.

Last week Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa was linked with the post in Seville, however the Argentine is currently in his second season at the Yorkshire club with eyes fixed on gaining promotion. Sources close to Bielsa said: “There is absolutely nothing in this issue,” regarding a possible summer move to Spain.
