Manchester United monitoring Real Sociedad’s Take Kubo

Manchester United are following the progress of Real Sociedad winger Take Kubo as a replacement for Antony.

Marca are reporting that the English side are looking for a replacement for out-of-form Antony to reinforce their squad for the upcoming year. Antony, who signed for €95m in 2022, has just eight goals and three assists in 62 appearances, and United are believed to be looking for a replacement.

In England, it is thought that an offer of €50m would be enough to persuade the Basque club to sell, and they do not discard the idea of using Antony as a makeweight in the deal.

Kubo has 15 goals and 13 assists in 67 games and has a contract with the club until 2027. However, there is a €60m release clause that United may choose to activate.

Speaking in October 2023, Real Sociedad chairman said, “If we decide to sell, Real Madrid will receive 50% of the transfer fee… Hopefully, Take stays for many years to come.”
