Manchester United join race to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona

Manchester United are keen to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, report Mundo Deportivo.

As communicated this morning, Chelsea are in talks with Barcelona regarding the transfer of Aubameyang and the Catalan side have set a €30 million price tag for the 33-year-old.

It appears as though Manchester United are keen to make a move for the Gabonese international to solve the crisis that the club is facing in their forwards department. The Red Devils suffered two embarrassing defeats in their first two Premier League matches against Brighton and Brentford and find themselves bottom of the table.

Reportedly Manchester United are also holding discussions with Atlético Madrid over the signing of Matheus Cunha. However, Los Colchoneros demand a fee in excess of €50 million, making Aubameyang a more feasible alternative.

Despite the rumours linking him away from Barcelona, Aubameyang has maintained that he is happy at the Blaugrana and is not considering to leave the club.
