Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle among the clubs monitoring Gabri Veiga

Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle are among the teams following Celta Vigo player Gabri Veiga closely, according to Relevo.

The young Celta midfielder is having an outstanding season. At just 20, he has scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in the league so far this season.

His performances have led to several foreign clubs taking notice of him, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle.

Scouts from these three clubs, as well as another from the Bundesliga, have visited Spain on several occasions over the last few months to watch him live.

Veiga was named Player of the Month for February by La Liga. The former Celta youth team player reached an agreement with the club almost a year ago to renew his contract until 2026 with a termination clause of €40m. The Galician side will not negotiate a transfer for less than that amount.

Veiga doesn’t have a change of scenery in mind either, although it is not out of the question. The midfielder is very much at home at the club, where he feels valued.

Celta also reportedly want to sit down with him at the end of the season to negotiate a possible salary increase that would also include an increase in his termination clause.
