Manchester United agree a loan deal with Sevilla for Alex Telles

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have agreed to loan out Alex Telles to Sevilla for the upcoming season.

Yesterday it was communicated that the two clubs were negotiating with each other and today a deal has been reached.

The next step will be to prepare and sign the contracts necessary before the loan deal can be made official.

According to the agreement, Sevilla will not have the option to buy the 29-year-old left-back at the end of the 2022/23 season. Alex Telles still has a contract with Manchester United that is valid until June 2024.

The Brazilian defender will act as the replacement for Ludwig Augustinsson, who joined Aston Villa with an option to buy this summer.

Alex Telles arrived to Manchester United from Porto in 2020 for a fee believed to be in the region of €15 million. Since then he has played 50 games in all competitions for the Red Devils, where he scored one goal and provided eight assists.
