Man United boss Erik ten Hag delaying Facundo Pellistri’s Granada switch

An insight into the delay in Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri’s long-touted move to Granada has been provided late this evening.

The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards United head coach Erik ten Hag as the sole cause for the transfer not yet coming to fruition.

Pellistri has long given his word to the Granada hierarchy over a short-term loan, eager to secure more regular playing time over the 2nd half of the term.

Not only that, but an agreement has also been reached between the Nazaríes, and their counterparts at Old Trafford.

So, why the hold up?

Speaking as part of Fabrizio Romano’s ‘The Daily Briefing’, the aforementioned Moretto revealed that Erik ten Hag is yet to give his approval to Pellistri’s exit.

This comes with the Dutchman concerned about the lack of depth in the wide positions in his squad.

With the Manchester United brass having made it clear to Ten Hag that no new faces will be arriving at the Theatre of Dreams before this week’s transfer deadline, it therefore remains to be seen whether Granada, in the end, get their man.
