Man City targetting key member of Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid staff

The powers that be at Premier League champions Manchester City have set their sights on a leading member of the backroom staff at Real Madrid.

That’s according to Libertad Digital, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

The individual in the sights of Pep Guardiola’s City comes in the form of Antonio Pintus.

For those not familiar with his name, Pintus is the head fitness coach at Real Madrid.

The Italian is widely considered to be one of world football’s best in his role, with his expertise in the field of physical wellbeing having proven absolutely central to the recent successes of Carlo Ancelotti’s Real.

In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of concern for the Blancos faithful to hear that Pintus has made his way into the sights of another of Europe’s top clubs.

As per the aforementioned Libertad Digital:

‘Manchester City has already begun to tempt the Italian physical trainer with an offer deemed as “irrefutable”.’

Ferran Soriano, executive director at The Etihad, is ready to put ‘all his effort’ into bringing Pintus to England with a view to next season.

It now remains to be seen whether the 61-year-old is tempted by the riches on offer in Manchester.
