Man City & Atlético stars absent from Spain training ahead of Brazil

Two high-profile absentees were noted in the Spanish national team’s latest training session this weekend.

After being put to the sword in disappointing fashion by Colombia on Friday, Luis de la Fuente’s troops quickly returned to work 24 hours on, in preparation for a 2nd friendly outing of the international break.

In a highly-anticipated matchup, Spain will lock horns with South American heavyweights Brazil on Tuesday night.

As alluded to above, though, whilst being put through their paces on Saturday, two key members of La Roja’s setup were nowhere to be seen.

The players in question? Rodri, and Álvaro Morata.

As confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, however, supporters of Manchester City, or Atlético Madrid, need not fret.

This comes with midfielder Rodri tending to an unwell family member, and frontman Morata having come down with a bout of illness.
