Olympique Lyonnais star Rayan Cherki dreams of lining out in the colours of La Liga giants Real Madrid.
That’s according to French outlet L’Équipe, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest word surrounding Cherki’s future.
Long considered one of the standout talents in his home country of France, midfielder Cherki has spent the early months of the new season reestablishing his best form.
As much has given rise to mounting interest in his signature with a view to the winter transfer window.
Not only that, but, amid the ongoing financial problems at the Groupama Stadium, the understanding is that a mid-season transfer for the 21-year-old is not at all out of the question.
As things stand, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are considered the frontrunners to strike a deal for Cherki.
As alluded to above, though, if the France international has his way, then he will ultimately end up elsewhere.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of L’Équipe that Cherki’s ‘dream’ is to make the move to Spain, with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
