Luka Modric will see out his current contract with Real Madrid, which will see the Croatian international through to 30 June 2021, according to AS.
The 34-year-old midfielder ranks as the ninth most used Real Madrid player this season, clocking up a total of 1,904 minutes playing time.
Keeping Modric for one more season could be important news for Real Sociedad. With the Croat staying, loanee Martin Odegaard could complete his second season on loan at the Reale Arena.
Modric signed for Madrid in 2012 and has been a key player ever since, winning four Champions League titles. Fans of Los Blancos can expect to see the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner at the Santiago Bernabéu for another year.
