This, of course, comes after frontman Mbappé got his stint in Real Madrid colours up-and-running in dream-like fashion.
Los Blancos marked their return to action late last night, locking horns with Serie A outfit Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup showpiece.
When all was said and done, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result, the quality on show proving too much for their plucky opponents.
The aforementioned Mbappé, meanwhile, managed to find the net, marking his competitive debut with a fine 2nd-half finish to round out the scoring in Poland.
As much means that the France international has now played one game, scored one goal, and won one trophy since penning terms with his new club.
And one individual of the opinion that this is only a sign of things to come for Mbappé in Spain’s capital comes in the form of Luka Modrić.
Fresh off clinching his record-breaking 27th piece of silverware whilst lining out for Real, veteran midfielder Modrić took to Instagram to unveil a photo of he and his new teammate, accompanied by the caption:
