Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales has spoken about completing La Liga and the Copa del Rey for the 2019-20 season. “The competitions have to be completed, if possible before June 30, but that date doesn’t have to be an insurmountable wall. If there are games to be played after June 30, our opinion is that all teams can play all their games, so that the league position is earned on the pitch.”
The Copa del Rey final was due to be played on April 18, however that will also be postponed, owing to COVID-19. “There is no date confirmed yet for the Copa del Rey final. We looked at the possibility of May 31, but after recent events, we have put a hold on confirming any fixed dates. We want a final with supporters,” Rubiales said.
