Atlético Madrid are monitoring closely the situation of Luis Alberto at Lazio, report Mundo Deportivo.
In August this year it was communicated that the 30-year-old wanted to return to Sevilla, a wish which was not granted by I Biancocelesti’s management.
The Andalucían midfielder has told the club’s board once again that he wants to part ways with Lazio, but they are only willing to let him go if they receive a suitable offer.
It is believed that the Estadio Metropolitano could be Luis Alberto’s next destination, with Los Colchoneros eyeing a potential move for the Spaniard.
However, whether or not a deal will materialise will also depend on the futures of Diego Simeone’s current players. According to sources, Atlético Madrid are looking to offload Thomas Lemar or Rodrigo De Paul in January in order to make way for new signings.
Luis Alberto has scored four goals so far this season in all competitions.
