Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold reaches final decision on Real Madrid move

Liverpool star and long-time Real Madrid target Trent Alexander-Arnold has come to the decision to make the move to Spain next summer.

That’s according to Marca, who have this week provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes at Anfield.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course long proven a prominent one in the media headlines across all of Europe.

This comes owing to the worst-kept secret in football – that the right-back has made his way to the very top of the wishlist at La Liga champions Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold’s contract terms at Liverpool are due to expire upon the season’s close, meaning, as things stand, he is set to become a free agent in the summer.

This situation has left the England international with a potentially career-defining decision to make when it comes to his future.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest word to have surfaced online late this week is anything to go by, then this call has now been made.

As per a report from Marca:

‘Trent Alexander-Arnold has already told Liverpool’s directors that he wants to play for Real Madrid.’

A renewal for the 26-year-old on Merseyside is now considered essentially ‘impossible’, ahead of Florentino Pérez and co. pushing a free agent deal for yet another of the game’s premiere talents over the line over the months ahead.
