La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday been tipped to add to their defensive ranks, by way of another altogether high-profile signing.
The player tipped to take his talents to Spain’s capital with a view to next season? Trent Alexander-Arnold.
As per a report from transfer insider Christian Falk, Real Madrid are ready to ‘get concrete’ with their efforts to bring Alexander-Arnold to the Santiago Bernabéu.
As much, it would appear, comes amid a search for a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal at right-back.
Liverpool, for their part, are understandably keen to keep hold of a player who has long established himself as a key performer on Merseyside.
But the 25-year-old himself is not against the prospect of seeking out a new challenge.
TAA, as a result, is yet to commit to a contract extension, ahead of the expiration of his current Liverpool terms in 12 months’ time.
A close friend of Jude Bellingham, the defender has therefore been earmarked as a market opportunity on the part of Florentino Pérez and co, who are understood to have been encouraged by the feedback provided since first making contact with Alexander-Arnold’s entourage last month.
