Las Palmas pair set to be scouted by Atlético during upcoming clash

The efforts of two key members of the defensive ranks at Las Palmas are set to be watched closely on Saturday, during the club’s meeting with Atlético Madrid.

This comes with Atléti understood to be keen on summer deals for both.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Diego Simeone and his staff have set their sights firmly on the signatures of Sergi Cardona, and Mika Mármol.

The former, a talented left-back, has been hotly tipped to make the move to Spain’s capital over recent weeks, with some reports having gone as far as to suggest that a pre-contract agreement is already in place between the parties, ahead of the expiration of Cardona’s terms with Las Palmas in the summer.

And joining Cardona in having his display carefully monitored at the Wanda Metropolitano will be teammate Mika Mármol.

Mármol, for his part, is a 22-year-old central defender, who has shone across the season to date.

A product of the famed youth setup at Barcelona, the Spanish youth international, in his debut term in Gran Canaria, has begun to pique the attentions of a whole host of clubs across the continent.

It is upcoming opponents Atlético, though, who have positioned themselves front and centre for his signature this summer, with Mármol, in turn, no doubt eager to make a good impression on Saturday afternoon.
