Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is inching ever closer to matching a benchmark currently held by Real Madrid counterpart Kylian Mbappé. This comes owing to the former’s latest endeavours in Blaugrana colours.
Winger Lamine was for his part in from the off for the latest occasion on Saturday, taking his place on the right wing for a La Liga meeting with Real Betis.
And inside the opening 10 minutes, the 19-year-old has opened the scoring, in nothing short of spectacular fashion.

And as alluded to above, in the process, Barcelona’s attacking prodigy closed on another individual benchmark.
As revealed by statisticians Opta, Lamine has now scored 10 goals from outside the box in La Liga since the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign. This is just one fewer than current record-holder Kylian Mbappé.
