Lamine Yamal could set an all-time UCL record in Barcelona vs Young Boys

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal is eyeing yet more footballing history, in the club’s upcoming outing on the continent.

That’s according to The Athletic, who have on Tuesday evening provided an insight into the situation.

Barcelona are of course set to return to action in short order, when Hansi Flick’s troops welcome Swiss giants Young Boys to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League clash.

Wide-man Lamine, meanwhile, after being afforded a rest from the off in the Blaugrana’s weekend defeat at the hands of Osasuna, is expected to be restored to the club’s starting XI.

And, in the process, the Spanish international will be afforded the opportunity to make fresh history.

As revealed by The Athletic, after he found the net in Barca’s opener on the continent against AS Monaco two weeks ago:

‘Lamine Yamal could become the first player aged under 18 to score in consecutive Champions League matches.’
