Lamine Yamal breaks Ansu Fati’s La Liga record in Barcelona’s Granada stalemate

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal tonight continued to etch his name ever further into the history books of Spanish football.

This comes owing to the explosive attacker’s latest starring display.

Barca, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming relegation-battling Granada to Catalunya for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Xavi’s troops were forced to make do with a disappointing share of the spoils, owing to a pulsating 3-3 draw.

On an otherwise hugely underwhelming evening for the club, though, one member of the Blaugrana’s ranks, as alluded to above, stood tall.

Lamine Yamal was the player in question, notching a brace amid a scintillating individual display.

After putting Barca in front early on from close range, the Spanish international proved himself decisive once more late in proceedings, bending home a fine effort from distance to level things up at three goals apiece.

And, in the process, Yamal secured for himself a piece of history.

As revealed by statisticians Opta, the wide-man, at just 16 years of age, has become the youngest player to ever find the net three times in La Liga, breaking the record previously held by on-loan Blaugrana talent Ansu Fati.
