The Spanish football authorities are giving consideration to postponing the upcoming La Liga fixture between Valencia and Real Madrid.
This comes in response to the flash storm which hit the Valencian community over the last 24 hours.
Owing to severe flooding caused by a DANA, at least 60 people are understood to have lost their lives in Spain.
Football, for obvious reasons, takes a back seat in such moments, with La Liga, according to sources across the Spanish media, prepared to postpone the planned meeting between Valencia and Real Madrid on Saturday night to a later date.
As of yet, no official request for as much has been forthcoming on the part of the powers that be at Valencia.
In such a scenario, though, as per Blancos insider Melchor Ruiz, Real Madrid will not only ‘accept Valencia’s decision, but they will be at their disposal for anything that Real Madrid can help with’.
A further update on the situation is expected later today.
