Kylian Mbappé’s status for Real Madrid’s pre-season tour & UEFA Super Cup

New Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé has on Tuesday provided an insight into his plans in the club’s colours for the weeks ahead.

Frontman Mbappé, of course, has taken his place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital once more across the day to date.

As much comes after his long-awaited first press conference as a Real Madrid player was at last forthcoming.

Across a lengthy exchange with the media, the 25-year-old was drawn on a whole host of topics, with emphasis having been repeatedly placed on when exactly he is likely to begin playing alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Drawn on whether or not he will take his place on Los Blancos’ pre-season tour of the USA, Mbappé explained:

“Pre-season in the USA? The club decides. If they want me to go, I will.”

Pressed further on his status for next month’s UEFA Super Cup clash between Real and Serie A outfit Atalanta, the France international continued:

“Of course I will play the UEFA Super Cup. I will have to be ready for that unique game. I can’t wait.”
