Spanish giants Real Madrid’s hopes of landing Kylian Mbappé this summer have on Thursday been afforded a major boost.
This comes in the form of confirmation that the attacker, at long last, has informed Paris Saint-Germain of his intention to depart with a view to next season.
As much was first revealed by French journalist Fabrice Hawkins, and has since been reiterated by a host of other sources across the continent.
Long-time suitors Real, as a result, have been afforded something of a free run at Mbappé’s signature.
It is of course common knowledge that negotiations between the brass in Spain’s capital, and frontman Mbappé’s entourage, have been ongoing for several weeks now.
A formal agreement being struck, however, had been delayed by the 25-year-old himself, by way of his failure to come to a definitive decision on his plans for the 2024/25 campaign.
With PSG now out of the equation, though, it looks all but a formality:
Kylian Mbappé will at long last take his talents to La Liga, to join Real Madrid this summer.
