Kylian Mbappé’s camp deny Joan Laporta statements

Speaking to Catalunya Ràdio, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has stated that the club would have never signed Kylian Mbappé due to the Frenchman’s extortionate financial demands.

Laporta went on record saying: “Even if we could sign Mbappé, we wouldn’t. He is asking between €40-50 million net salary per season.”

Mbappé’s family have refuted Laporta’s statements, denying any truth to them, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. The PSG forward’s camp have also stated to have never opened any negotiation with Laporta.

Mbappé is expected to sign for Barça’s fierce rivals Real Madrid this summer, but has not yet communicated his final decision.
