Mbappé has said that he will not renew his PSG contract for an additional year, and it will run down at the end of next season. But according to Relevo, PSG are adamant that they will not lose him on a free deal. The options are clear, either he extends his contract, or is sold this summer.
With Real being long-time admirers of the French forward, and his compatriot Karim Benzema leaving Madrid with a gaping hole in their squad, one would think that this is the perfect solution for all parties involved. It is not that simple, however.
Los Blancos have already splashed €103m on Jude Bellingham, and this is a huge complication. They may struggle to fork out the fee for Mbappé, and suffice it to say that he would cost significantly more than €100m again. So with more twists and turns in the plot, the Mbappé to Real Madrid transfer saga rolls on.
