New Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé has on Tuesday evening sent a message of gratitude to a number of the club’s former stars.
As much comes after the frontman was afforded a royal welcome on social media on the back of his Real Madrid switch being made official.
Mbappé’s long-awaited move to the Santiago Bernabéu, of course, was announced on Monday night.
After allowing his contract terms with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain to expire, the 25-year-old went on to put pen to paper on a five-year deal in Spain’s capital.
Real’s statement regarding as much gave rise to an immediate flood of well wishes across social media, on the part of fans, pundits, and players past and present alike.
Amongst them were some of Los Blancos’ most iconic-ever figures, as well as leading members of Carlo Ancelotti’s current squad.
Speaking as part of his first press conference as a Real Madrid player on Tuesday, Mbappé, in turn, made use of the opportunity to make clear his gratitude to all involved:
“I saw messages from my idols, CR7, Ramos, Casillas, my future teammates, everyone. It touched my heart. Thank you to all of them.”
