Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé on Sunday admitted that the influence of brother Ethan could have convinced him to reject the advances of Los Blancos.
Mbappé for his part this week sat down for an interview with Canal+.
During as much, the France international provided an insight into a whole host of topics, from life in Spain’s capital, to the process behind his summer transfer and more.
Perhaps the most head-turning admission on Mbappé’s part, though, came in the form of the revelation that his brother could have swayed him into staying put at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Mbappé siblings were at one point teammates in France’s capital, Ethan having been pushing for a regular first-team berth alongside Kylian under the watch of Luis Enrique.
The young midfielder has since departed for Lille, but boasted the power to convince his superstar brother of staying put:
“For my brother, Ethan, Real Madrid was his PSG, his dream,“ Mbappé told Canal+. “At one point, I told him, “If it really weighs on you, I’ll extend.” I would have given up my dream of Madrid and stayed in Paris. He’s my brother.”
