Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has taken to social media, to issue a sarcastic response to fresh claims of tension between he and his employers.
Frontman Mbappé has seen his name return to the centre of the online chatter over recent days. This comes after it was murmured that the 27-year-old was not happy with the level of public support being shown for him by Real Madrid in his case for the Ballon d’Or.
Mbappé is of course amongst the very frontrunners to be named world football’s standout performer in Paris later this month.
The former Paris Saint-Germain standout has in turn spent recent weeks publicly laying out his case as the deserved ‘Golden Ball’ winner in front of the media.
With momentum building on the part of fellow candidate and Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, though, it was suggested that Mbappé has been left frustrated with Real Madrid’s silence on the matter.
As alluded to above, on Monday, the French international therefore took to his official Instagram account, to clear the air in sarcastic fashion, writing:
‘Yes, yes, I even got angry with my great aunt, too.’
