Kylian Mbappé moves up all-time UCL goalscorer list with Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Tuesday continued to etch his name ever further into the history books of European football.

Real, and Mbappé, of course, are currently locked in action.

In the opening fixture of the defence of their Champions League title, Los Blancos have welcomed Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart to Spain’s capital, for a League Phase clash.

And, as things stand at the Santiago Bernabéu, it is the aforementioned Mbappé who has proven the game’s decisive figure.

After Rodrygo was set free down the right flank, the Brazilian’s pull-back across the face of goal was slotted into an empty net by the awaiting Mbappé.

And, as alluded to above, as much did not only prove significant in guiding Real Madrid into the lead on Tuesday.

In addition, the France international’s latest strike proved a momentous one when it comes to the history of European football’s elite club competition.

As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, with a remarkable 49 goals to his name, at just 25 years old, Mbappé has entered the list of top-10 scorers in the history of the Champions League.
