Kylian Mbappé left out of PSG squad for Ligue 1 opener

PSG have come good on their promise to isolate Kylian Mbappé, as he has not made the squad for their first game Ligue 1 game of the new season against Lorient at the Parc des Princes.

Although he will not play the match, a hostile reception from the French ultras is expected, in addition to angry chants aimed at the star forward.

Mbappé has already told Nasser Al-Khelaïfi that he does not want to be transferred in August and that his intention is to fulfill the last year remaining on his contract and go to Real Madrid for free in 2024.

The people upstairs at PSG have made it clear to him that if he does not renew, or if he does not accept being transferred, he will not play for the whole season.

Luis Enrique is the main person suffering from this sequence of events, as he has a squad that is far from ready. It remains to be seen if he will be able to count on Mbappé once the transfer window closes.
