The coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona are giving consideration to leaving two of the club’s key players out of the XI to face Real Betis this weekend.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Raphinha and Iñigo Martínez as the pair in question.
Winger Raphinha and defender Iñigo have of course both played starring roles for Hansi Flick’s Barca across the season to date.
In fact, alongside Robert Lewandowski, the pair have acted as the Blaugrana’s most-used players.
After frontman Lewandowski was left out against RCD Mallorca in midweek, though, it may be the turn of Raphinha and Iñigo to do so this weekend.
This comes amid the suggestion that both will be left on the bench from the off in Barca’s La Liga clash with Real Betis.
As per a report from Sport, Hansi Flick and co. are considering resting the attacker and stopper, to reduce the risk of a potential burnout.
Robert Lewandowski, on the other hand, will be restored to his starting berth at centre-forward.
