According to footage from French media outlet RMC Sport, Karim Benzema can be seen telling teammate Ferland Mendy to not pass to Vinicius Junior at half-time in Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia Park on Tuesday.
“Brother don’t play to him. On my mother’s life. He is playing against us.”
The Brazilian winger was substituted after 70 minutes, with Eden Hazard coming on in his place. Late goals from Benzema and Casemiro salvaged a last minute point for Madrid in Germany as they continue to struggle to get to grips with Group B of the Champions League.
