The latest social media activity on the part of Karim Benzema will no doubt have brought a collective smile to the faces of Real Madrid fans the world over on Tuesday evening.
This comes after the former Blancos standout moved to reveal his support for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Real, of course, will mark their return to action in short order.
In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs, the capital giants will welcome Premier League champions Manchester City to the Santiago Bernabéu for a highly-anticipated clash.
Ancelotti and co. will head into proceedings with revenge firmly in mind, after being sent packing from the competition by none other than City in 2023.
Part of the Real squad on that occasion was of course the aforementioned Karim Benzema, who moved on just weeks later after coming to the decision to link up with Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad.
The veteran frontman, though, evidently still holds his former club close to his heart.
In turn, on Tuesday evening, Benzema took to the comments section of Real Madrid’s official pre-match post, to unveil a one-word message of encouragement.
‘Vamonos’, the Frenchman wrote.
