Karim Benzema confident of one day playing alongside Kylian Mbappé at club level

In an interview with RTVE Deportes, Karim Benzema admitted that he remains confident of one day playing alongside Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid.

“Why not? I’ve said it before, and if you want, I’ll say it again. Of course, one day,” Benzema said.

The pair recently lifted the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League trophy together, after France beat Spain 2-1 in the final.

Benzema has been involved in 20 goals (12 goals, 8 assists) for both club and country so far this season, meanwhile, Mbappé continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid in 2022.

On the Ballon d’Or

“It’s a trophy that every player wants one day. It’s a trophy that I’ve always thought about since I was a kid, but if I can win the trophy it’s also because of the work of my team-mates. It would be for everyone.”

On Champions League game and then El Clásico

“It’s a decisive game for us, to go there and win, to win the three points because after the defeat against Sheriff it was difficult. We lost the game despite having many chances and then we have the Clásico, it’s different.”
