Jürgen Klopp’s camp respond to Barcelona interest

The representatives of Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp have today made clear their stance on the possibility of taking up the reins at La Liga giants Barcelona this summer.

The name of German tactician Klopp has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes amid speculation linking the ex-Borussia Dortmund boss with the soon-to-be vacant post in Catalunya’s capital.

On the back of his announcement that he will step down from his post as Liverpool boss in the summer, Klopp, almost inevitably, has been tipped as a frontrunner to replace the outgoing Xavi at Barcelona.

The Blaugrana faithful, however, need not get their hopes up regarding the chances of as much.

This comes amid confirmation that Klopp, for the time being at least, has absolutely no intention of taking his talents to La Liga.

As per a report from the reliable Catalunya Ràdio, the German’s camp have made it known to Joan Laporta and his team that there is nothing that can be done to convince him to give up his sabbatical next year.

This goes not only for Barcelona, but any club keen on Klopp’s services with a view to next season.
