A photo of Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has gone viral across the Spanish media landscape on Wednesday evening. This comes owing to the dour demeanour showcased by the wantaway Argentine.
It is of course one of football’s worst-kept secrets that frontman Alvarez is keen to secure a move away from current employers Atlético this summer.
After being identified by Barcelona as the club’s priority replacement for Robert Lewandowski, the 26-year-old wasted little time in making public his desire to take his talents to the Spotify Camp Nou.
With mere weeks remaining in the transfer window, however, any such transfer is yet to come to fruition. Not only that, but time and time again, the Metropolitano brass have made clear that they have zero intention of opening the door to a sale.
