Julen Lopetegui is confident that Sevilla can get their first win of the season this weekend.
Los Nervionenses will play Almería on Saturday in the third round of La Liga. In his pre-match press conference that appeared on Marca, Lopetegui discussed what he expects from the game:
“The team is looking forward to getting the first win we want against a rival with quality. We want to play a good game in a place where La Liga and Champions League winners Real Madrid didn’t fare so well a few days ago. That makes us prepare so that we are ready to compete.”
“They have shown that they are a good, competitive team and that they have the experience of working together. They have very good players in certain positions. I expect a well-organised Almería, with good physicality, speed and talent,” he commented about the opposition.
Sevilla were put in a group with Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Copenhagen for the Champions league group stage. Lopetegui revealed his thoughts regarding the draw:
“It’s the Champions League, the competition where the best teams in the world are. It’s a complicated group, nobody is going to celebrate qualification before playing the matches. The important thing is that we are in these groups for the third year in a row.”
