An update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has come to the fore late this evening.
The info comes courtesy of Marca, who point towards Real being set to be without the services of their star midfielder for at least another week.
England international Bellingham, of course, is sidelined at present, owing to injury.
The 20-year-old was forced into a premature departure from Los Blancos’ top of the table La Liga showdown with Girona last weekend.
And ensuing medical tests went on to reveal that he had suffered a high ankle sprain.
Bellingham, in turn, sat out in midweek, as Carlo Ancelotti’s troops got the better of RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Champions League Last-16 tie between the clubs.
And he has since been ruled out of Real’s next outing, too, when the capital giants will make the trip to the Estadio de Vallecas for a meeting with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
So, just when can the Blancos faithful expect to see their side’s midfield standout back on the pitch in the club’s colours?
One thing is for sure.. As much will not come next weekend, either.
As per the aforementioned Marca, a full week out, Bellingham’s status for Real Madrid’s La Liga matchup with Sevilla has already been confirmed.
The former Borussia Dortmund star has been ruled out, meaning his comeback looks set to be pencilled in for the trip to Valencia on March 2nd.
