Jude Bellingham’s potential transfer to Real Madrid hinders on his price tag

Jude Bellingham’s performance at the World Cup could mean that Real Madrid may miss miss out on signing him, report Marca.

As it has been communicated over the last couple of months, Real Madrid are keen to sign Jude Bellingham in 2023. In addition to filling the void left by Casemiro, he could also act as a long-term replacement for the aging Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić.

However, talks over a potential transfer could hit a brick wall over the 19-year-old’s price tag. His current release clause is set at €150m, but his great performance at the World Cup for England could raise his price to a fee even higher, beyond the €200m mark.

Liverpool are also reportedly interested in securing the services of the midfielder amongst several other English sides. Based on Real Madrid’s transfer policy, it is very difficult to see the European champions entering a bidding war with the financial might of Premier League clubs.
