Jude Bellingham injury update: will the midfielder play for Real Madrid this weekend?

Real Madrid are eagerly awaiting the return of Jude Bellingham, report Relevo. The England international is still feeling the effects of a bad fall against Rayo Vallecano and the shoulder dislocation, according to the club, is still causing him trouble.

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is, however, not giving up hope of being able to count on him against Cádiz this weekend and on Thursday he is expected to try out a full session with the rest of the squad. Bellingham has been working hard in Madrid and has taken advantage of the break to work on his recovery.

To avoid knocks to the affected area in the last few days, in certain exercises with the team that had the ball, the plan was clear: no touching Bellingham. On Wednesday, for example, he took part in transition moves in seven-on-three or four-on-two attacks and in moves with open spaces to avoid collisions. He also did specific finishing work in front of goal.

Ancelotti currently has nine players out and may be able to count on Bellingham this weekend. The former Borussia Dortmund player – who has 13 goals in 14 appearances for Los Blancos – has emerged as a leader of the team at the age of 20. His return will be crucial in a stretch of the season without big games but in which the club can’t afford many slip-ups if they want to finish the year as La Liga leaders.
