Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has on Thursday taken to social media, to reveal his appreciation for a fellow member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Frontman Rodrygo, of course, played a pivotal role on Wednesday night, as Real kept alive their hopes of European glory come the season’s end.
In the 2nd leg of the club’s Champions League quarter-final tie with reigning holders Manchester City, the Brazilian notched his side’s only goal of the evening, en route to an eventual penalty shootout triumph.
After Rodrygo also found the net in the first leg in Spain’s capital, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for the 23-year-old, speaking as part of his punditry role for TNT Sports.
As Rodrygo continues to build on his reputation as a player who rises to the occasion when it matters most, Ferdinand raved:
“I love Rodrygo. Big-game player. This kid steps up every time.”
And, 24 hours on, the same message has been reiterated by none other than Jude Bellingham.
Taking to the comments section of his teammate’s latest Instagram post, midfielder Bellingham posted a simple response:
